Linda Almeida and George Giurbino became friends in the 7th Grade, while attending Auburndale Jr. High School in Corona, and later would further develop their ralationship while attending Norco Senior High School. Following graduation from NSHS, we focussed on attaining further education. Linda attended Chaffey Community College and earned a Degree as Registered Nurse. Geroge also attended Chaffey and CSU at Fullerton, where he earned Degrees in Administration of Justice and Criminology.

George ultimately garnished the courage to ask Linda's hand in marriage at the Reubens Restaurant in Riverside...Linda knew she could not pass up a good thing and accepted the proposal...The two became George and Linda Giurbino on May 15, 1982, when they were married and celbrated the event at the Mission Inn in Riverside.

Linda and George would become the proud parent of three beautiful and intelligent children, Jessica, Jonathan and Joseph. Both Jessica and Joseph have since followed their father in obtaining Bachelor and Master Degrees at CSUF and have begun their life careers. To our sadness, Jonathan, our high spiritted middle child/athlete, was called back to Heaven at the age of 19, falling victim to a violent crime.

Our family has lived in Riverside, Imperial, Sacramento, and now Folsom California, where we live on grounds at Folsom State Prison. George has worked in the field of Corrections, including being a Warden at two State Prison. George recently retired as the Director of the California Department of Corrections, following a 32 year career, and continues to work as a consultant for the State. Linda has worked 30 years as an RN, serving at several community, public, private and State Hospitals, and she currently remains an active RN at Folsom State Prison.

Linda and George were high school sweethearts, and now have been married 30 years, fulfilling their fairy tale dreams...Life has shared both rewarding and challenging experiences since our graduation from NSHS, but we would not change a thing (maybe just one thing)...we have been blessed...and have often reflected back on our many good friendships and experiences from NSHS, which have played a significant role in our professional and personal lives...
